This striking piece showcases the fifteen bezants from the arms of the county and Duchy of Cornwall, long recognised as symbols of prosperity and historic legacy. The golden discs are set upon a stylised Bronze Age sword inspired by ancient Cornish artefacts discovered within the St Erth hoards, now preserved in the Royal Cornwall Museum. The design honours Cornwall’s deep-rooted past and its enduring connection to legend and mythology, especially the timeless stories of King Arthur.

Cornwall is rich in Arthurian tradition, with the sea-surrounded fortress of Tintagel widely associated with the birthplace of the once and future king. Some historians and enthusiasts suggest that the famous tale of the Sword in the Stone may echo a far older ritual, when swords were cast in stone moulds during the Bronze Age, centuries before Arthurian legend emerged.

Measuring 88mm in length and 27mm in width, the piece features a plain pewter finish that highlights its intricate detail and historic character. Each item is individually cast and hand-finished, creating a meaningful accessory for anyone inspired by Cornish heritage, Arthurian legend, or ancient craftsmanship.
